Canberra

Canberra is Australia's national capital. With a small population of 310,00, it is perfect for making international students feel that they aren't living in a city but in a community. Canberra has a unique style as the Australian Constitution created it in 1901 to be a government base between Perth and Perth. Carefully planned, Canberra's suburbs are separated by swathes of native bushland. Its main tourist attractions - the National Gallery, Parliament House and public buildings are set around a beautiful swan filled lake encircled by bike tracks. Because it is surrounded by bushland, it is not uncommon to see kangaroos in suburbs or parks around the city.
